Press Release

PublishAmerica has put out a press release about the publication of The Best Day of My Life, So Far . . . and Other Stories.  The press release reads as follows:

Frederick, MD December 8, 2009 -- PublishAmerica is proud to present The Best Day of My Life, So Far…and Other Stories by Adam M. Dean.

At the end of Adam’s second book, The Gate of Heavenly Peace, "Adam Chapman," a character Adam has largely based on himself, and "Dawn," the girl who is the love of his life, had made up and were finally going to be boyfriend and girlfriend. So, what happens when two people live happily ever after? That’s what this third book is about.

Adam M. Dean is a successful disabled attorney in Charleston, West Virginia. So, he has been frequently asked to talk about what it’s like to live with a disability. For example, Adam served as the keynote speaker at the 2002 PATHS Conference on assistive technology before 200 to 300 people at the Charleston Civic Center. Most recently, Adam spoke about the Americans with Disabilities Act at the Youth Disability Caucus Reunion/Summer FUNdmentals Youth Camp at Camp Virgil Tate in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, during August of 2008. The people he has met traveling around West Virginia for his speaking engagements have given Adam a lot of inspiration for his night job as a writer.

PublishAmerica is the home of 40,000 talented authors. PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.

As the book goes through the production phase, I'll keep you all updated on the blog page.  Thanks!

Accepted for Publication

PublishAmerica has agreed to publish my second book.  Because they have a book with a similar title already in production, I needed to change the title of my book.  The title I proposed was The Gate of Heavenly Peace . . . and Other Stories.  PublishAmerica has accepted that title, so it'll be the title of the new book.  I'm looking forward to receiving the book contract, so I can sign it.
